Isoland Metal in Brief
Isoland Metal produces insulated copper and aluminium conductors for transformers, winding and electric motors, manufactures CTC (transposed conductor) for high-voltage power transformers, and supplies B2B technical raw material to the industry. Our business rests on a simple logic: delivering the conductor the winding line needs, in the right size, in the right thermal class and at a time that fits the production schedule. Our entire product range is supplied with original batch certificates and manufacturer test reports.
Product Groups We Supply
Our portfolio is designed to cover all the insulation families a winding application may require:
- Enamelled conductors: round and flat section, in thermal classes 155, 180, 200 and 220, with Grade 1/2/3 build options.
- Paper-insulated conductors: kraft, crepe, dennison and satinert (thermally upgraded) paper-wrapped types.
- Film-insulated conductors: Kapton (polyimide), Mylar (polyester film) and glass-fibre wrapped groups.
- Aramid-insulated conductors: Nomex and Metastar paper-wrapped, for dry-type transformers and high-temperature applications.
- Mica-coated conductors: mica-over-enamel solutions for windings under high voltage and impulse stress.
- Twin and triple conductors: multi-conductor groups for loss reduction and fill-factor improvement in parallel winding.
- Bare conductors: bare copper and aluminium profiles for busbar, connection and special winding applications.
Standards We Comply With
Our product acceptance criteria rest on the established standards of the industry. For enamelled conductors the IEC 60317 series (60317-0-1 for round, 60317-0-2 for flat) and, for production aimed at the North American market, NEMA MW 1000 are used. For insulation materials, IEC 60554 is referenced for cellulosic papers, IEC 60819 for non-cellulosic (aramid) papers and IEC 60371 for mica-based insulators. For conductor raw material, EN 13601 (copper rod, bar and wire) and EN 13602 (round copper wire drawn for the manufacture of electrical conductors) requirements are sought. Thermal classification is linked to IEC 60085 and temperature-index determination to IEC 60172.

How We Work
When meeting a request we first understand the application: winding temperature rise, winding-window geometry, impregnation method and batch size. Then the size, thermal class and insulation type are determined together. Once the order is opened, the batch is tracked down to cast-number level; shipment can be split into batches according to your winding schedule. Our aim is not to sell material but to keep your winding line running.
The practical counterpart of this approach is seen in the questions we ask at the quote stage. Not just size and quantity; we also ask the machine's operating temperature, the feed type (grid or frequency converter), the winding machine's drum diameter and the metreage consumed on one bobbin. A quote given without this information may look cheap; but it comes back in the field as scrap, re-setting and delay.
Our Infrastructure
Our storage area is divided according to the conditions each conductor type requires. Paper and aramid-insulated groups are stored protected from moisture, while enamelled reels are stacked upright with corner protection to prevent film damage. Cut-to-length and re-winding operations are done under controlled tension; each reel leaves with a label carrying metreage, size, thermal class and batch number.
Our technical team answers incoming requests not with stock information alone, but together with a cross-section, fill-factor and thermal-class assessment. Sample and trial-batch requests are also met so that verification can be done on the winding line before series supply.
