Product Description
This product follows a two-layer insulation strategy: the thin enamel layer on the conductor provides inter-turn insulation at low thickness, while the daglas yarn braided over it forms mechanical protection and an impregnation-grip surface.
The high fill factor provided by the flat section largely offsets the build increase brought by the braid insulation. The result is a winding that is both compact and mechanically robust; this combination is preferred in the stator windings of large electrical machines.
The thermal class is the joint result of the enamel type and the braid binder; the standard structure is class 180 (H). Conductor dimensions are applied to the IEC 60317 series, and test methods to the IEC 60851 series.
Applications
Large motor stator windings, generator windings, arc-furnace and induction coils, heavy-duty electromagnets.
