    Product Description

    Polyester film insulated aluminium conductor is used in windings where both weight and insulation cost are optimised. The thin film insulation partly offsets the volume the large section required by aluminium occupies in the winding window.

    The natural oxide layer of the aluminium surface bonds well with the film adhesive; however, this layer must be removed at connection ends. The film wrap is applied with an overlap ratio suited to the corner radius so the conductor corners do not stress the insulation during winding.

    The film material complies with IEC 60674 requirements. The product is preferred in resin-cast dry-type transformers and in enclosed windings where moisture uptake must be kept low.
