Product Description
Polyester film is an economical insulation material offering high dielectric strength at thin build and low moisture uptake. Its dimensional stability is high: it shows no significant shrinkage or elongation with temperature changes, which keeps the insulation thickness constant along the winding.
The film is wound onto the conductor with overlap and fixed with a heat-activated adhesive layer. The resulting insulation is thinner and more moisture-resistant than paper insulation; it is therefore preferred in enclosed-environment coils and resin-cast windings.
The films used comply with the plastic-film requirements under IEC 60674. The thermal class is 130 (B), and structures with an additional protective layer over the film can reach class 155 (F).

Resin-cast transformers, enclosed-environment coils, current transformers, medium-power reactors, lighting ballasts.
