    Product Description

    Metastar type meta-aramid paper is an insulation material combining high-temperature endurance with high tensile strength. Its calendered surface is smooth; this keeps the build increase very consistent along the winding when wound onto the conductor.

    Its high mechanical strength helps the insulation stay untorn at moments when short-circuit forces stress the winding. It is therefore preferred in grid and industrial transformers where short-circuit strength is critical.

    The paper is assessed to the non-cellulosic electrical paper requirements under IEC 60819. The number of layers and overlap ratio are set to the winding's voltage level and design voltage strength; impregnating resin is applied on request.
