    Product Description

Crepe paper is cellulosic paper given micro-folds by controlled creping during production. This structure gives the paper the ability to stretch; when the conductor is bent, the paper conforms to the geometry without tearing. This property is decisive in tight-radius transitions where flat kraft paper cracks.

Its application area is especially the lead-outs of transformer windings, tap-changer connections and the sections where the conductor changes direction. Within the same winding, straight sections are insulated with kraft and transition sections with crepe paper, providing both economy and reliability.

Crepe papers comply with the electrical-purpose cellulosic paper requirements under IEC 60554. Their oil-absorption ability is higher than flat paper; this shortens impregnation time and makes it easier to fill the voids within the insulation.

    Applications

Transformer lead-outs, tap-changer connections, tight-radius winding transitions, busbar connection insulation.
