    Product Description

    Round enamelled aluminium conductor is preferred in coils where weight and cost are optimised in mass production. Home-appliance motors, small power transformers and lighting ballasts are typical application areas of this product.

    Because aluminium's yield strength is lower than copper's, winding tension must be kept within a narrower range; excessive tension causes thinning in the wire and micro-cracks in the enamel layer. In return, the material takes shape more easily and springback is lower in tight-radius windings.

    Produced to the general requirements of IEC 60317-0-3. Grade 1 and Grade 2 build options are standard; the continuity, breakdown voltage and flexibility tests under IEC 60851 are applied to every batch.
