    Product Description

    Class 155 (F) flat enamelled copper conductor is an economical solution for winding designs where the continuous operating temperature stays at a medium level. Polyester-based enamel offers a good balance of dielectric strength and flexibility; it preserves coating integrity in tight-radius windings.

    The high fill factor provided by the rectangular section allows a lower current density — and therefore a lower temperature rise — in the same window area. Thus a medium thermal-class insulation can also be used in high-power applications with a suitable design.

    Produced to the general requirements of IEC 60317-0-2; build increase, breakdown voltage and flexibility values are verified to the IEC 60851 series. Compatibility with impregnating varnish is chosen with the post-winding vacuum impregnation process in mind.
